No Right to Abortion in Constitution Amendment

Constitutional Amendment 2 would amend the Bill of Rights of the Kentucky Constitution to state that nothing in the state constitution protects or secures a right to abortion or requires the funding of abortion.

In other words, no one in Kentucky will be able to claim that a right to abortion is any way protected by our state Constitution. The legislature can then ban all rights to abortion, and any lawsuit claiming that the ban is unconstitutional will lose in court.

The Fayette County Democratic Party supports a NO vote on both of these Amendments.
